John Gavurnik brings to his role as president of Kibo Contractors L.L.C. over forty years construction experience. The first decade was spent as a project manager, production manager and director of construction for Kennedy Brothers, a prominent Chicago-area home builder based in South Barrington, Ill.

He then joined Nash-Phillips Copus, Inc. of Austin , Texas , and gained additional experience across a span of 7 years as vice president of multi-family construction.

From 1985 to 1988, Gavurnik developed single and multi-family residential and retail projects in Central Texas, and then he joined the C.P. Morgan Company of Indianapolis as vice president of construction, where he supervised the development of more than 1,100 single-family homes and townhomes, from 1988 to 1992.

Returning to Georgetown , Texas in 1992, John Gavurnik formed Gavurnik Homes L.P. which since that time has evolved into Gavurnik Builders L.P. and currently Kibo Contractors L.L.C., a General Contracting company. Since mid 1992 over 800 homes have been constructed including single-family, duplexes, townhomes, condominiums, and apartment complexes. Numerous commercial projects, including office condominiums, banks, dental offices, Dollar General Stores, apartment buildings, and single office buildings have been built. John J. Gavurnik is also known for his knowledge and ability to acquire, process, and then develop tracts of land for both residential and commercial use.
